(Attica, OH) When it comes to dirt track racing, all fans are kids at heart. But when it comes to the 2010 season at Attica Raceway Park, a lot of fun is planned for the true youngsters.
 
New for 2010 will be the Junior Fan Club for kids ages 6-12. Membership is free and one lucky child will have their name drawn each week and be the honorary Junior Fan. The drawing will take place in victory lane with the night's Junior Fan Club winner drawing the lucky recipient for the following week.
 
The Junior Fan Club winner for opening night - March 26 - will be drawn at the Northern Ohio Sprint Care Show at the Tiffin Mall March 19-21.
 
The lucky Junior Fan will get in free to that night's race and be presented with a trophy from Fremont Athletic Supply, a t-shirt from Carol's Ultra Stitch and a picture taken with their favorite driver from Action Photos. The presentation each week will take place in victory lane after hot laps with the Junior Fan Club winner and their favorite driver.
 
Also, the Junior Fan Club member of the week will get a ride in the Baumann Auto Group Pace Truck during the night, an Attica Raceway Park decal and their name on the new jumbo message center.
 
The Junior Fan Club winner is only allowed to win one time during the racing season.
 
Other Junior Fan Club events planned for 2010 include at least one lucky child being chosen to give the "Let's Go Racing" command before the start of the first race of the night. And, all kids 10 and under will receive a ticket for a drawing for a free bike!

Junior Fan Club memberships can be printed off at www.atticaracewaypark.com and then faxed to 419-679-4242. Membership cards will be available at the Bowling Green Mall Show, March 12-14 and the Northern Ohio Sprint Car Show at the Tiffin Mall March 19-21.
 
During the race season membership cards will be available at the track at the Action Photo booth in the souvenir barn.

Will Brock Mayes be able to defend his 2009 Fremont Speedway championship in the 410 sprints? Who will step up to claim the 305 sprint title? Can Steve Endicott hold off the hard chargers for a second championship in the dirt trucks? Who will win the 2010 FAST Championship?

Those questions and more will play out at "The Track That Action Built" as it gets set to fire motors for the 59th season of racing in 2010.
The 20-race schedule kicks off on Saturday, April 17 on Pepsi Night with the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 sprints, Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprints and Fremont Fence Dirt Trucks.

"When we sat down to begin planning the 2010 schedule, we listened to many of the suggestions from the fans and race teams and we think we've got a very diversified, entertaining program set up," said Fremont Speedway Co-Promoter Rich Farmer.

"The teams indicated they would appreciate a week off here and there and we have done that. There's a night off in June, another in July and our break in August for the fair," added Farmer.
